Job Description

**Job Title**: Data Intern **Role Summary** Analytics Engineering intern responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining data models, pipelines, and dashboards using Snowflake, dbt, and Sigma. Will collaborate with analysts, business stakeholders, and data engineering to deliver reliable data insights that enable non‑technical users to make informed decisions. **Expectations** - Work on production‑grade data products for internal dashboards and reporting. - Deliver deliverables within a fast‑moving startup environment. - Contribute to documentation, testing, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity. - Participate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of data workflows. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake tables and dbt models supporting core dashboards. 2. Build and schedule ETL pipelines, apply transformation logic, and monitor pipeline performance. 3. Create and refine self‑serve dashboards in Sigma (or similar) for non‑technical stakeholders. 4. Partner with analysts and product owners to capture requirements, translate them to data models, and iterate on solution design. 5. Conduct data validation, write unit tests, and maintain documentation for transparency and reproducibility. 6. Collaborate with data engineering on schema design, performance tuning, and best practices. 7. Provide clear status updates and support cross‑functional problem solving. **Required Skills** - Strong SQL proficiency and knowledge of relational database concepts. - Familiarity with Python (or equivalent) for scripting and automation. - Experience with cloud data warehouses, particularly Snowflake. - Exposure to modern data transformation tools such as dbt. - Competence in dashboarding tools (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, etc.). - Analytical mindset with ability to model data for business use cases. - Effective communication skills and an eagerness to collaborate across teams. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current enrollment or recent completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant coursework or projects involving SQL, data modeling, cloud data warehouses, or dashboard development.
