Job Description
Job title: Social Media Paid Intern Role Summary: Assist the social media marketing team in planning, executing, and optimizing paid and organic social media campaigns for client brands. Support content creation, community management, analytics reporting, and client communication while learning industry best practices. Expactations: Enrolled in a post‑secondary program (Marketing or related field), Canadian citizen or eligible resident, legally authorized to work in Canada, able to work remotely and onsite, proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to develop skills in paid media and social analytics. Key Responsibilities: - Draft and publish copy for social media posts across client accounts. - Moderate comments and engage with online communities. - Create and update social media audits and growth reports. - Assist with campaign ideation and brief development for paid social. - Execute display advertising tactics: keyword research, ad creation, bid management, performance monitoring, and audience/placement analysis. - Produce and deliver monthly performance reports to clients. - Maintain client account information and coordinate updates across platforms. - Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to align strategy and execution. - Monitor industry trends, benchmark competitors, and recommend continuous improvements. - Perform basic account management duties and client outreach via email and phone. Required Skills: - Strong written communication and copywriting skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, GSuite, and social media management tools (Hootsuite, WordPress, etc.). - Familiarity with paid advertising platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads). - Basic data analysis and reporting capabilities. - Excellent internet research, organizational, and time‑management skills. - Comfortable with community management and client engagement. - Ability to learn and adapt to new digital tools and platforms. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a Canadian post‑secondary institution (Marketing, Communications, or related program). - No specific certifications required, but coursework or experience in digital marketing, social media, or analytics is an asset.
