**Job Title**
Infrastructure Manager (Head of Infrastructure)
**Role Summary**
Lead the organisation’s systems, networking, and security infrastructure to ensure reliable, high‑performance, and secure operations across the entire group. Manage a small technical team, drive IT projects from inception to delivery, optimise infrastructure architecture, and maintain resilience and compliance.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 10 years in a comparable role, with at least 3 years of team management.
- Strong technical acumen in infrastructure, networking, and security with proven project‑management experience.
- Leadership that motivates, develops, and aligns a small team with corporate objectives.
- Professional communication in English at a business level.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead, mentor, and grow a 2‑person systems & networks team.
2. Manage infrastructure budget, KPIs, reporting, and planning.
3. Own end‑to‑end IT projects: scoping, planning, cost control, quality, and schedule adherence.
4. Design, deploy, and hand‑over technical architectures based on business needs.
5. Ensure operational availability and security (MCO/MCS) of systems and networks.
6. Maintain resilience: backups, disaster recovery (PRA/PCA), supervision, performance tuning.
7. Oversee security controls: access, backups, data protection, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, EDR/XDR.
8. Provide level‑3 technical support for systems, networks, and security.
9. Author and update documentation, procedures, and knowledge bases.
10. Coordinate with vendors and platform providers.
11. Continuously monitor and recommend technological advancements.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in virtualization (Nutanix, VMware), cloud (Azure), desktop virtualization (Citrix).
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Linux.
- Network knowledge: LAN, WAN, WiFi, fibre, satellite, and multi‑site interconnects.
- Security fundamentals: firewalls, proxies, VPN, EDR/XDR, backup solutions, disaster recovery.
- Scripting and automation: PowerShell, SQL, Linux shell.
- IT Service Management tools (Matrix42 or equivalent).
- Strong project management: budgeting, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, coordination.
- Leadership and team development.
- Professional English fluency.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization cert.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Windows Server cert.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation or higher.
- Security certification (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) desirable.
