Job Description
**Job title:** Junior R&D Fermentation Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the development and optimization of fermentation processes for high‑value molecules and safe, natural food applications. Convert laboratory concepts into scalable industrial solutions and drive innovation across product and process lines. **Expectations:** - Focus on two flagship R&D projects: high‑potential molecule development and safe natural food product innovation. - Deliver measurable improvements in yield, quality, and reproducibility. - Communicate findings to cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, optimize, and scale fermentation processes on diverse strains (laboratory to pilot scale). - Plan, execute, and analyze fermentation trials; monitor key parameters (pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, etc.). - Interpret experimental data to identify process drivers and recommend optimization strategies. - Produce clear technical reports and deliver presentations to internal teams and customers. - Contribute to project documentation, including project charters, risk logs, and progress reports for subsidized projects. - Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies; integrate relevant innovations into processes. - Ensure laboratory safety, compliance with GMP/GLP, and maintain a tidy, compliant work environment. **Required Skills:** - Solid understanding of fermentation principles and bioprocess engineering. - Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis (e.g., statistical analysis, process modeling). - Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously. - Excellent written and verbal communication; capability to present technical data to diverse audiences. - Collaborative mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary teams. - Familiarity with innovative food, cosmetic, or biotechnology projects is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biological Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. ---
