Job Description
Job title: Intern – Risk Management & Insurance (Wholesale) Role Summary: Short‑term internship (8 weeks, 40 hr week) focused on wholesale insurance risk management and brokerage. Interns will rotate between Hull & Company and Bridge Specialty Brokerage, engaging in market research, client interaction, and supporting broker/underwriter operations. Expectations: • 8‑week paid program, 40 weekly hours. • 4 weeks with Hull & Company team, 4 weeks with Bridge Specialty Insurance brokerage. • Attendance during business hours (Mon‑Fri, 8:00‑5:00). • Deliver actionable research, proposals, and presentations. • Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct marketing and market analysis for wholesale insurance products. • Shadow and assist production brokers, underwriters, and account executives. • Build and nurture relationships with retail partners and insurance carriers. • Develop quote proposals, marketing collateral, and PowerPoint decks. • Perform spreadsheet analysis and data compilation. • Participate in ad‑hoc projects and process improvements. Required Skills: • Current college/university enrollment in Risk Management, Business, Economics, Marketing, or related field. • Minimum 3.0 GPA. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Strong oral and written communication. • Ability to work independently, manage workload under deadlines, and adapt to fast‑paced environments. • Networking and relationship‑building aptitude. • Commitment to confidentiality and continuous improvement. Required Education & Certifications: • Enrolled in a degree‑granting program; scheduled to enroll in fall semester of next academic year. • No mandatory certifications required; academic excellence and relevant coursework in risk management or insurance preferred.
