Job Description
**Job Title** Project Manager Intern – Summer 2026 **Role Summary** Summer internship assisting in the management of large‑scale heavy construction and hydroelectric projects, focusing on project planning, documentation, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control under the guidance of senior project managers. **Expectations** - Receive structured on‑the‑job training in project management processes. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project lifecycle from proposal to closeout. - Demonstrate punctuality, responsibility, and a proactive learning attitude. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and maintain project work plans, schedules, and budgets. - Prepare required documents: submittals, bid packages, contracts, invoices, change orders, billing forecasts, and O&M drawings. - Communicate deviations between bid and site reality to clients, subcontractors, and secure change orders. - Review subcontractor performance for contract compliance; approve change orders and ensure quality control. - Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers; track bills and cost approvals. - Collaborate with foremen to schedule tasks, optimize construction methods, and manage labor, equipment, and material usage. - Conduct and document on‑site meetings, inspections, and punch‑list completions. - Attend government acceptance inspections and finalize project closeout documentation. **Required Skills** - Strong written and verbal communication. - Organizational and time‑management ability. - Basic understanding of construction contracts, change orders, and cost control. - Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. - Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. **Required Education & Certifications** - Current 3rd or 4th year university student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. - Valid driver’s license acceptable. - OSHA 10/30 (or equivalent safety certification) preferred but not mandatory. - Willingness to complete company‑specific training modules on project management and safety.
