Job title: Founding Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, development, and scaling of Amplytic’s AI‐powered infrastructure for renewable energy asset management. Own core systems, drive technical strategy, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to accelerate product innovation.
Expectations:
- Take complete ownership of engineering initiatives from concept to production.
- Deliver high‑impact features rapidly in a fast‑paced startup environment.
- Influence product roadmap and technical vision with clear, data‑driven decisions.
- Communicate transparently, challenge assumptions, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable, cloud‑native software that processes real‑time operational, contractual, and regulatory data.
- Develop AI/ML models for asset performance prediction, compliance tracking, and revenue optimization.
- Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability frameworks.
- Engage in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to raise engineering quality.
- Participate in strategic discussions on technology direction, tooling, and talent acquisition.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Python; strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Deep familiarity with AI/ML concepts, model deployment, and production lifecycle.
- Excellent problem‑solving mindset, self‑direction, and adaptability to rapid change.
- Knowledge of renewable energy markets, contract management, or financial analysis is a significant advantage.
- Prior startup or high‑velocity SaaS experience preferred.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Solutions Architect) are welcome but not mandatory.
