**Job title:** Automation Engineer (F/H)
**Role Summary:**
Design, develop, commission, and support industrial automation solutions using ABB 800xA & AC800M. Engage in functional analysis, technical specifications, and project coordination to deliver reliable, secure, and compliant control‑and‑supervision systems across critical industries.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 3 years of industrial automation experience, specifically on ABB 800xA & AC800M platforms.
- Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end automation projects, from concept through FAT/SAT to site commissioning.
- Strong analytical mindset, autonomous working style, and effective collaboration with instrumentation, electrical, and client teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Participate in the design, development, and commissioning of automation systems (ABB 800xA & AC800M).
- Produce functional analyses, technical specifications, and design documents aligned with client requirements and industry standards.
- Program, test, and validate control‑and‑supervision systems, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability.
- Configure HMI, industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP), process databases, and 800xA supervision modules.
- Provide on‑site or remote technical support, including maintenance and program modifications.
- Contribute to FAT/SAT activities and on‑site commissioning, coordinating with project and client teams.
- Enforce QHSE standards, industrial cybersecurity requirements, and deliver quality documentation.
- Continuously improve development tools, software libraries, and processes.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in ABB 800xA & AC800M automation platforms.
- In‑depth knowledge of complex automation architectures, real‑time constraints, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, PID loops, and collaborate with instrumentation/electrical teams.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to ABB 800xA (e.g., 800xA scripting, IEC 61131‑3).
- Strong written and spoken technical English for international project documentation and communication.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented mindset.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s (Bac+2) to Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Automation, Industrial Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in ABB 800xA/AC800M or equivalent industrial automation qualifications are advantageous.
