Job Title: Head of Software Engineering
Role Summary
Lead the engineering organization for two core products, setting technical strategy, architecture, and quality standards. Drive AI adoption, mentor team members, and collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver scalable, secure software.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the technical vision and architecture for Member™ and Web™ platforms.
- Lead engineering teams across LAMP, Rails API, and React SPA stacks; oversee DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and security compliance (SOC2, ISO/IEC 27001, etc.).
- Champion AI strategy: research advancements, prototype features with Product, and enable AI tools for developers.
- Contribute code on complex projects, review architecture, and resolve technical blockers.
- Manage technical support workflow, prioritizing custom requests and product enhancements.
- Mentor engineers and support staff, driving growth and skill development.
- Partner with Product, Implementation, and other stakeholders to shape roadmaps, estimate efforts, and prioritize initiatives.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of leadership in engineering, managing cross‑functional or multi‑stack teams.
- Proficient with modern cloud (AWS: Fargate, Lambda, Serverless, Docker, CDK, CloudFormation).
- Strong backend language fluency (Ruby, PHP, Python, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, scalability, performance, and security best practices.
- Hands‑on experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and observability frameworks.
- Active engagement with AI/ML technologies, developer productivity tools, and applied use‑cases.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified ScrumMaster, or security credentials) preferred.
