**Job Title** Underwriter **Role Summary** Evaluate new residential home development applications (freehold or condominium) to determine financial, technical, and historical risks. Propose and enforce warranty terms and conditions, monitor compliance, and resolve conflicts between builders and program requirements. Operate in a high‑volume, collaborative environment, providing expert risk assessment and customer service. **Expectations** * Analyze financial statements, credit structures, and legal documentation to assess builder viability. * Establish risk‑based terms, limits, and security requirements. * Maintain ongoing compliance monitoring, addressing performance deviations promptly. * Resolve registration and contractual issues with builders and vendors. * Support ad‑hoc departmental projects and serve as a point of contact for cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Review and assess builder financial strength and performance history. 2. Evaluate complex financial structures and credit information for vendors/builders. 3. Draft, issue, and update warranty terms and conditions. 4. Monitor compliance with terms and resolve conflicts through effective communication. 5. Resolve registration issues and provide data-driven recommendations. 6. Participate in departmental projects and initiatives. **Required Skills** * Underwriting background with 3–5 years of financial analysis experience. * Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. * Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. * Customer‑service orientation and conflict‑resolution aptitude. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. * Professional certification (e.g., Certified Underwriter, Certified Financial Analyst) preferred but not mandatory. ---
