Job Description: **Job Title** System and Database Administrator (F/M) **Role Summary** Lead a multidisciplinary team of 4 to manage, maintain, and evolve IT infrastructure and database environments, providing technical guidance, project oversight, and vendor coordination for the city’s digital services. **Expectations** - Manage a team and motivate through collaborative leadership. - Serve as primary liaison with external providers. - Advise project managers on system architecture, constraints, and performance. - Oversee digital projects, monitoring outcomes against KPIs. - Maintain and secure servers, operating systems, and virtualized environments. - Administer Active Directory and user rights management. - Host and secure external software solutions. - Ensure data backup, disaster recovery, and system hardening. - Provide user support for BMPM applications and contribute to internal system design. - Forecast hardware, server, and service contracts. - Draft technical clauses for new procurements. **Key Responsibilities** - Supervise team operations and development. - Coordinate with IT teams and the City IT Directorate (DSI). - Manage server administration, OS provisioning, and system maintenance. - Administer Active Directory, group policies, and access controls. - Host, configure, and update external applications. - Implement backup/restore policies and disaster recovery plans. - Offer end‑user support and training for BMPM staff. - Participate in design of internal information systems and custom software. - Evaluate and quantify hardware, server, and support contract needs. - Contribute to writing technical clauses in new service requests. **Required Skills** *Technical* - Virtualization platforms: VMWare (preferred). - Backup solutions and recovery procedures. - Scripting: Bash, PowerShell. - Programming: PHP, JavaScript (advantage). - Databases: MySQL, Oracle. - Operating systems: Linux, Windows Server. - Active Directory administration. - Network and security fundamentals. *Soft* - Team leadership and motivational skills. - Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication. - Analytical thinking, organization, and rigor. - Proactive problem solving and teaching ability. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor's+5 (Master, Engineering degree, or equivalent) in Digital Technologies or related field. - Preferably recognized as a territorial engineer or holding a similar public-sector qualification. ---
