Job Description
**Job Title** Mechanical Rehabilitation Engineer Intern – Hydropower Projects **Role Summary** Provide technical and project management support for the rehabilitation of hydropower plant equipment, focusing on mechanical design review, sizing calculations, technical coordination, and inspection preparation across European projects. **Expecations** - Complete the internship in 2026, duration 4–6 months. - Work under senior engineer guidance, participating in team meetings and collaborating with cross‑functional experts. - Contribute to project deliverables that meet IEC, EN, ISO and contractual requirements. **Key Responsibilities** - **Design Review & Compliance**: Analyze manufacturer documentation (drawings, schematics, calculation notes) for turbines, valves, and pipelines; verify adherence to international standards and contract specifications; recommend corrective actions. - **Sizing & Calculations**: Perform dimensional and stress calculations using Excel or Python; prepare reports and present results to technical experts. - **Technical Coordination & Documentation**: Maintain consistent documentation across technical lots; implement version control, approval tracking, and record coordination meeting minutes. - **Inspection Preparation**: Review manufacturing plans and QCPs; develop critical inspection points, checklists, and non‑destructive testing protocols; support quality tracking and non‑conformity management. - **Additional Tasks**: Create compliance matrices, manage interface documents, draft technical reports for clients and internal teams. **Required Skills** - Bilingual proficiency in French and English. - Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, especially for power‑generation equipment. - Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python for engineering calculations. - Document control, version tracking, and technical writing skills. - Analytical mindset, curiosity, and attention to detail. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently enrolled in the second or third year of a mechanical engineering program. - Coursework covering mechanical design, materials, and mechanical systems for power generation is preferred.
