Job Description
Job Title: Data Analyst (Hybrid) Role Summary: Intermediate data analyst within a gaming product team, focused on player behavior and monetization analysis to drive feature, content, and live‑ops decisions. Expectations: Minimum 2‑4 years in data/product/game analytics; Ontario‑based; hybrid schedule with ≥3 days onsite; strong analytical mindset with clear communication skills. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain dashboards (DAU, engagement, spend, event performance) for Product & Live Ops. - Analyze player behavior, feature performance, and monetization trends to support roadmap planning and tuning. - Design and evaluate A/B tests; measure lift for gameplay, events, and reactivation offers. - Partner with product managers to monitor in‑game economy health and pricing strategy. - Translate data findings into actionable insights and success metrics. - Collaborate with senior analysts on forecasts, adoption models, and player segmentation. - Write efficient SQL queries for large data extractions; ensure data quality and consistency across pipelines. Required Skills: - Proficiency in SQL and one scripting language (Python or R). - Experience creating dashboards in Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable BI tools. - Strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and ability to distill complex data into simple recommendations. - Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and basic statistical concepts. - Understanding of free‑to‑play mobile game metrics and KPIs preferred. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field. - Professional certifications in SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Looker/Power BI are a plus.
