**Job title**: VP of Software Engineering
**Role Summary**: Strategic leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling the end‑to‑end software platform that powers our continuous blood‑pressure monitoring ecosystem. Covers mobile application, backend, data infrastructure, website, e‑commerce, and CRM systems across multiple markets. Drives architecture, automation, and AI initiatives to deliver secure, high‑performance, and data‑centric solutions aligned with business growth.
**Expectations**: Owns long‑term technical vision, sets measurable KPIs (uptime, latency, deployment frequency, debt reduction), and delivers a unified, scalable architecture that supports multi‑language, multi‑region operations. Leads a lean engineering team (local and external partners) to achieve operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and own software/data strategy; translate business objectives into a clear technology roadmap with milestones and KPIs.
- Design a future‑proof architecture integrating mobile, e‑commerce, CRM, analytics, and multilingual support.
- Oversee all non‑firmware software systems: mobile apps, backend services, data pipelines, WordPress/WooCommerce/Shopify sites, and CRM integrations.
- Implement industry best practices: CI/CD, automated testing, version control, documentation, and secure, compliant infrastructure.
- Build centralized data infrastructure; ensure real‑time pipelines, governance, quality, and analytics readiness.
- Lead and mentor a distributed engineering team; foster a high‑performance culture based on clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Embed automation and AI across deployment, monitoring, data processes, and decision‑making to scale efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, growth, quality, and regulatory teams to align technical execution with business goals.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership in software engineering for subscription, data‑heavy, or app‑first businesses.
- Experience building scalable, reliable software platforms in high‑growth, multi‑market environments.
- Deep expertise in cloud architecture, data systems, mobile platforms, and system integration.
- Strong knowledge of multilingual, multi‑region infrastructure and cross‑disciplinary tech stacks.
- Experience in regulated markets (medical device, data protection) and regulatory alignment.
- Strategic, KPI‑driven mindset; ability to translate business objectives into technical outcomes.
- Proficiency in AI applications, data operations, automation frameworks, and performance monitoring.
- Disciplined execution, pragmatic decision‑making, and a culture‑building focus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps, or data architecture preferred (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Google Professional Data Engineer).
