Job Description

**Job title** Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)/QA Automation Engineer **Role summary** Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks for SaaS insurance applications. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure quality across all stages of the product lifecycle, mentor junior analysts, and drive continuous improvement of testing tools and processes. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, maintainable test scripts and automation pipelines using Postman, Selenium, and JMeter. - Own defect identification, logging, and resolution workflows. - Ensure consistent, repeatable testing across supported platforms and deployment environments. - Provide actionable insights on performance and reliability to stakeholders. - Foster a culture of quality through coaching and mentoring. **Key responsibilities** - Create automated tests for API (Postman), UI (Selenium), and performance (JMeter). - Design test plans, scripts, and procedures for new software releases. - Detect, document, and trace bugs and defects in collaboration with developers. - Record detailed testing results, acceptance criteria, and reproducibility steps. - Perform cross‑platform compatibility tests for all supported environments. - Monitor and report on software performance and user feedback. - Prioritize and triage customer‑reported issues with high impact. - Mentor junior QA analysts and promote best practices. - Develop and iterate on new testing tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency. **Required skills** - ≥5 years full‑time QA experience, including ≥3 years in automation QA. - Proficiency in JavaScript with Postman and Selenium automation. - Knowledge of DevOps principles and cloud‑native architecture. - Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills. - Clear written communication and effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams. **Required education & certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
