Job Description
**Job Title:** Merchandise Planner (Retail Planning Manager) **Role Summary:** Orchestrate inventory and sales planning for a beauty retail portfolio, aligning stock levels, promotional strategies, and replenishment flows to meet retailer targets and optimize profitability. **Expectations:** - Manage annual budget and revenue responsibilities, ensuring accurate monthly and yearly net forecasting. - Maintain 3‑4 weeks of supply while mitigating stock‑out risk and maximizing sell‑through. - Deliver actionable insights for promotion and launch allocations to sales and finance teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Forecast demand and determine optimal inventory levels across channel plans. - Monitor and resolve low/outs‑of‑stock situations, coordinating with supply chain and merchandising teams. - Analyse promotional performance, sell‑through, and inventory turnover. - Create quarterly account budgets and trend analyses, incorporating channel‑specific developments. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, customer service) to ensure alignment on plans and execution. - Secure promo, launch, and constrained item allocations through Sales Administration. - Maintain accurate weekly supply reports and communicate changes, opportunities, and risks to management. **Required Skills:** - Strong analytical and quantitative forecasting abilities. - Proficiency with ERP/PLM and advanced Excel. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. - Creative, self‑motivated, results‑oriented mindset. - Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners. - Multitasking under moderate supervision. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field. - Minimum 3+ years of wholesale sell‑in or retail planning experience, preferably in the beauty industry. - Knowledge of beauty market trends and competitive dynamics. ---
