Job Title: Salesforce System Administrator
Role Summary:
Maintain the technical integrity, scalability, and security of the Salesforce platform (Nonprofit Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Backup & Restore, Archive) with limited oversight. Lead platform configuration, complex integrations, automation, and governance to support constituent management, conservation programs, and donor engagement.
Expectations:
* Deliver high‑quality, secure solutions within defined timelines.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and the Technology & Innovation division.
* Maintain system stability, performance, and compliance with all regulatory and internal security requirements.
* Apply best practices for sustainable, resource‑efficient cloud configurations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Platform Architecture & Configuration** – Design custom objects, fields, and data models across Salesforce clouds to meet business needs and IT policies.
2. **Platform Data Flow** – Configure and manage data flows between standard and custom objects, ensuring data integrity.
3. **Complex Integration Management** – Build, update, and monitor advanced integrations with external systems and APIs (Tableau, DocuSign, Stripe, Ticketure, Intacct, etc.).
4. **Change Management** – Lead deployments and releases using sandbox, production environments, DevOps tools, Salesforce change sets, and GitHub pull requests.
5. **Release & Upgrade Strategy** – Keep current with Salesforce releases, evaluate feature impact, and plan seamless updates.
6. **Performance & Resilience Monitoring** – Track system logs, scheduled jobs, and performance metrics; troubleshoot and resolve issues proactively.
7. **Security & Compliance Oversight** – Conduct permission audits, maintain audit trails, enforce org‑wide security settings, and ensure compliance with Backup & Restore and Archive mandates.
8. **Advanced Automation** – Develop sophisticated flows and automation to streamline back‑end processes across teams.
Required Skills:
* 5–7 years of Salesforce administration experience.
* Advanced expertise in Nonprofit Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
* Strong knowledge of complex integrations, APIs, and data flows.
* Proficiency in automation using Process Builder, Flow, and Apex (if applicable).
* Experience with DevOps practices, Git, and change‑set deployment.
* Solid understanding of security / compliance best practices.
* Agile development mindset; ability to work in iterative cycles.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
* Self‑directed initiative, accountability, and ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
* Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
* Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
* (Preferred) Additional certifications in Nonprofit Cloud or Marketing Cloud are a plus.
