Job title: Java & Angular Engineer (F/M)
Role Summary
Lead the design, development, and deployment of high‑impact application projects in a large insurance client environment. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, ensure code quality, and deliver bug‑free releases.
Expectations
- 6+ years of professional experience in full‑stack Java development.
- Proven expertise in Java ecosystem, Spring Boot, and Angular (plus React).
- Strong command of RESTful API design, Git, Jira, Jenkins, and monitoring tools (Kibana).
- Ability to drive best practices, mentor colleagues, and participate in project steering boards.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze end‑user requirements; produce detailed functional and technical specifications.
- Design, code, and test new features and system enhancements using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and related frameworks.
- Apply code‑review and quality assurance procedures to guarantee zero‑bug delivery.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub Actions) and monitor applications (Kibana, Grafana).
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA analysts, and DevOps engineers throughout the SDLC.
- Provide technical guidance and support to teammates during development and maturity phases.
- Attend steering‑committee meetings to report progress, risks, and recommendations.
Required Skills
- Java SE/EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.
- Angular (latest stable), TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx; experience with React considered a plus.
- RESTful API development, Swagger/OpenAPI, JSON, XML.
- Version control (Git), issue tracking (Jira), build tools (Maven/Gradle).
- Continuous integration/continuous delivery (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Logging and monitoring (ELK stack, Kibana, Grafana).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containers (Docker).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional Java SE, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Java SE, or Spring Professional preferred.
