Job Description

**Job Title:** Application Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Securely evaluate, design, and manage application security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards (SOC, NIST) and reducing vulnerability exposure. **Expactations:** - Deploy and maintain security tools, automate scans, and remediate findings. - Collaborate with development, ops, and infrastructure teams to enforce secure configurations. - Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response, and continuous improvement of security practices. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct vulnerability scans, analyze results, and produce actionable reports. - Design, implement, and support application security tools and automation pipelines. - Recommend and evaluate emerging security technologies. - Define security requirements for new projects and validate compliance. - Create technical documentation, security guidelines, and training materials. - Engage in SOC/NIST compliance activities and external penetration testing. **Required Skills:** - Advanced scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, Chef). - Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP). - Strong understanding of networking (OSI, TCP/IP). - Code development and static/dynamic code scanning. - Knowledge of application and system security best practices. **Required Education & Certifications:** - BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred.
