**Job Title** Economic Surveys & Data Innovation Analyst **Role Summary** Lead the design, delivery, and analysis of bespoke client surveys while driving data‑innovation initiatives. Work collaboratively with economists, survey specialists, and data teams to build tools, automate workflows, and develop dashboards that transform survey and secondary data into actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders. **Expectations** - 18‑month fixed‑term contract. - Report to the Economics Manager; dotted‑line to the Surveys & Data team. - Deliver high‑quality survey projects on time and within scope. - Maintain rigorous data quality standards and documentation. - Demonstrate proactive learning of new tools and methodologies. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Survey Design & Delivery** – - Coordinate CBIE surveys, align with wider survey schedule, and avoid overlap. - Design survey instruments with client and project teams, ensuring best‑practice methodology. - Build bespoke samples in SurveyMonkey and CRM contact databases. - Manage distribution, marketing campaigns, and communications via Spotler. - Monitor response rates, address fatigue, and uphold data integrity. - Support panel recruitment and maintenance. 2. **Data Management, Analysis & Visualization** – - Process, clean, validate, and document survey data for cross‑project use. - Perform quantitative & qualitative analysis to uncover insights and trends. - Develop interactive dashboards (Power BI) for client and internal reporting. - Automate data workflows using R, Python, Stata or JavaScript to improve efficiency and reproducibility. 3. **Analytical & Product Development Support** – - Collaborate on data‑driven models (e.g., cost‑benefit, scenario tools). - Contribute to the design of new CBIE data products, indicators, and visual tools. - Apply coding skills to data integration, modelling, and automation across projects. - Respond to ad‑hoc analysis, reporting, and data management requests. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency in R, Python, or Stata for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization. - Basic JavaScript knowledge or rapid up‑skilling capacity for interactive visualizations. - Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau. - Advanced Excel skills; experience with SurveyMonkey. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Detail‑oriented with robust data quality assurance. - Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and client interactions. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related analytical discipline. - No specific certifications required, but relevant professional training in survey methodology, data analytics tools, or visualization platforms is advantageous.
