Job title: Data Project Manager (F/M)
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end data projects across multiple business units, coordinating internal IT, business stakeholders, and third‑party vendors within an Agile framework while ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, security, and architectural standards.
Expectations:
- Manage multiple concurrent data initiatives in a global industrial environment.
- Deliver high‑quality solutions that meet functional and technical specifications.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, track progress, and communicate status to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with business owners.
- Formulate comprehensive requirements, prioritize deliverables, and maintain a product backlog.
- Coordinate resources (technical, business, external contractors) and oversee workload distribution.
- Plan and control project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead risk assessment and issue resolution activities.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies (sprints, stand‑ups, retrospectives, planning meetings).
- Conduct technical and functional acceptance testing; oversee production deployment.
- Maintain governance dashboards, steering committee reports, and project documentation.
- Advise on and enforce data governance, security standards, and master data management principles.
- Contribute to roadmap development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server stack (Databases, SSAS, SSIS, MDS).
- Strong Power BI data‑visualization skills (Cognos Analytics knowledge a bonus).
- Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., Data Lake) beneficial.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (Scrum, Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Analytical mindset with business acumen in finance, procurement, or HR domains.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Effective stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and data architecture principles.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of proven data project management experience, preferably in an industrial or international setting.
- Technical fluency in English (written and spoken).
