Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Role Summary:
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP. Drive automation through IaC and CI/CD pipelines, ensure compliance, and lead DevOps practices to enhance reliability and cost efficiency.
Expectations:
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on cloud engineering experience (Bachelor’s level).
- U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
- Full‑time, on‑site role (W2 contract).
Key Responsibilities:
- Build reusable IaC modules (Bicep, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Embed security controls, audit compliance, and observability into infrastructure designs.
- Develop standards, patterns, and frameworks for consistent, reproducible deployments.
- Evaluate and implement tools for monitoring, cost optimization, and governance.
- Champion DevOps culture: continuous improvement, feedback loops, and lifecycle visibility.
- Manage cloud platforms: OS patching, security policy enforcement, high‑availability monitoring, and alerting.
- Troubleshoot complex cross‑layer issues across infrastructure, networking, and application tiers.
Required Skills:
- IaC (Bicep, Terraform), Cloud formation/templates.
- CI/CD architecture (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) with quality gates and rollback.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration & stakeholder communication.
- Leadership by influence, mentorship, and infrastructure maturity drive.
- Deep Azure expertise (VMs, Storage, Networking, AKS, Functions) + hands‑on AWS/GCP experience.
- Kubernetes & container orchestration (Helm, Istio, Linkerd).
- Cloud security (CSPM, IAM, encryption) & compliance best practices.
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows OS, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with configuration management (Puppet, Ansible) and backup solutions (CommVault, Zerto).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure‑focused software development.
