Senior IT Project Manager – Fixed Term Contract
**Role Summary**
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a Databricks and Microsoft Fabric data transformation workstream within a large, multi‑regional programme. Manage a cross‑functional, multi‑supplier team across time zones, applying hybrid Agile frameworks to ensure on‑time, on‑budget completion while aligning with programme governance and regulatory requirements.
**Expectations**
* Deliver the data transformation workstream within the 12‑18 month contract.
* Maintain project governance, financial control, and stakeholder alignment at all organisational levels.
* Apply Agile principles and tools (Azure DevOps, ServiceNow PPM) to drive continuous improvement and transparency.
* Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and legal industry regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Plan, execute, and close the Databricks‑based data transformation workstream.
2. Lead, motivate, and coordinate a multi‑regional team of data engineers, architects, analysts, and developers.
3. Develop detailed project plans, resource forecasts, and budget trackers, ensuring milestones are met.
4. Facilitate sprint activities: planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
5. Proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests; implement corrective actions.
6. Maintain accurate project documentation, including RIDAC, communication plans, and governance artefacts.
7. Use ServiceNow PPM for tracking, reporting, and aligning with programme objectives.
8. Communicate status and expectations to C‑Suite and other executive stakeholders.
9. Champion continuous improvement, fostering collaboration and accountability.
**Required Skills**
* Extensive senior project management experience in complex technical or data‑focused projects.
* Proven track record delivering data transformation initiatives using Databricks and Azure data services.
* Expert knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery frameworks; ability to adapt them to large programmes.
* Experience managing cross‑functional, multi‑regional, multi‑supplier teams.
* Proficiency with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow PPM, and other project management tools.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, including experience with C‑Suite.
* Analytical, structured approach to priority management and problem solving.
* Decision‑making confidence in fast‑paced, global environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Professional project management certification: PMP, AgilePM, SAFe, or Certified Scrum Manager.
* Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
