DB2/PostgreSQL DBA
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, maintain, and support high‑availability DB2 and PostgreSQL database environments on Azure and Snowflake. Lead upgrades, performance tuning, security hardening, and on‑call support while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet business requirements and ensure 24/7 availability.
**Expactations**
- Minimum 5 years DBA experience (DB2 or PostgreSQL)
- Proven work with cloud PaaS database services (Azure, Snowflake)
- Linux/Unix administration skills
- Experience building/maintaining HA, fault‑tolerant systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab) and version control (git, bgit‑bucket)
- Knowledge of database encryption, masking, PKI, SSH, VPN
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Availability for 24/7 on‑call rotations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, upgrade, and patch DB2 and PostgreSQL systems on Azure/Snowflake.
- Design and maintain 24×7 high‑availability configurations.
- Apply robust security controls in line with PCI‑DSS Level 1 standards.
- Perform performance tuning: analyze hardware, OS, DB settings; rewrite queries, stored procedures, and ETL jobs.
- Execute schema changes, code reviews, and bottleneck analysis.
- Handle backups, restores, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
- Conduct data import/export in CSV, XML, and other formats.
- Document environment, processes, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and rapid issue resolution.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions; stay current with emerging technologies.
**Required Skills**

**Required Education & Certifications**

- Professional certifications preferred:
