Job Description
Job Title: Splunk Engineer – On Site Long Term Position Role Summary: Design, deploy, and maintain Splunk Enterprise/Cloud environments to enable advanced monitoring, alerting, and analytics for IT and security operations. Expectations: Full‑time, on‑site deployment, immediate start, continuous support of production Splunk systems with enterprise‑grade ES and ITSI configurations. Key Responsibilities - Architect, deploy, and manage Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud platforms aligned with business and security requirements. - Create and maintain custom dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations for actionable insights. - Integrate Splunk with diverse data sources (servers, network devices, security appliances, cloud platforms). - Configure, support, and optimize Enterprise Security (ES) and IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) use cases. - Troubleshoot ingestion pipelines, indexer performance, and forwarder configurations to ensure data integrity. - Collaborate with IT, Security, and DevOps teams to define monitoring strategies and enhance observability. - Optimize Splunk performance, storage, and scalability in complex enterprise environments. - Ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices. Required Skills - Splunk Core system administration and configuration expertise. - Strong log management, data normalization, and correlation search knowledge. - Proficiency in Linux/Unix, scripting (Python, Bash), and regular expressions (regex). - Solid understanding of system monitoring, alerting, and security event analysis. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities. Required Education & Certifications - Splunk Core Certified Consultant (mandatory). - Splunk Core Certified Power User or Advanced Power User (preferred). - Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) Certified Administrator (preferred). - Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) experience (preferred).
