Job Description
Job Title: Information Security Analyst Role Summary: Secure and protect the information systems and data of a healthcare organization. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents, implement controls, develop policies, and educate staff on security best practices. Expectations: - Maintain a high-security posture aligned with HITRUST CSF and industry best practices. - Proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities in IT systems and new technologies. - Provide timely incident investigations and reports to leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor computer networks, detect security events, and perform vulnerability testing. - Analyze new business technologies for security implications and recommend mitigations. - Install, configure, and manage security solutions (firewalls, encryption, IPS/IDS). - Investigate and document security breaches and assess impact. - Develop and enforce company-wide IT security policies and procedures. - Conduct security awareness training and simulated attacks for staff. - Manage identity and access management platform. - Create and test contingency plans for cyber‑attack response. Required Skills: - Proficient in monitoring tools, vulnerability scanners, and incident response workflows. - Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting abilities. - Good verbal and written communication in English. - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and corporate information. - Familiarity with HITRUST CSF framework and healthcare security requirements. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field. - 3–5 years of information security experience in a healthcare or regulated environment. - CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification preferred. ---
