Job Description
Job Title: Automation Engineer H/F Role Summary: Provide technical oversight, maintenance, and optimisation of industrial automation systems in a fast‑growing upcycling textile environment. Collaborate with the operations lead and external engineering partner to ensure smooth production flow and continuous improvement of automated processes. Expactations: - Rapid onboarding and immediate contribution to system maintenance and troubleshooting. - Demonstrate proactive problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset. - Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and support automated production lines, ensuring high availability. - Diagnose faults, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement effective fixes. - Optimize cycle times and refine production sequences for efficiency gains. - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend enhancements to automation. Required Skills: - Advanced proficiency in TIA Portal V18 (including Safety Advanced V18). - Experience with WinCC Unified Engineer and Siemens S7‑1500 PLC programming. - Solid understanding of HMIs and user‑interface design. - Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑resolution capabilities. - Ability to work autonomously and proactively in a dynamic environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline. - Certification or proven expertise in Siemens automation tools (TIA Portal, Safety, WinCC). - Junior candidates acceptable with advanced mastery of Siemens tools.
