Job Description
**Job Title:** Project Manager Intern **Role Summary:** Assist senior project managers in planning, executing, and closing multiple solar installation projects. Manage scheduling, budgeting, safety compliance, client communication, change orders, and documentation across the project lifecycle. **Expectations:** - Actively learn and apply construction project management fundamentals. - Maintain schedules, budgets, and safety protocols with minimal supervision. - Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, engineers, and internal teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Update and maintain project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met. - Enter and reconcile project cost data and change orders in Procore and Viewpoint. - Track material and equipment orders, verifying delivery against schedule. - Coordinate site safety materials and procedures with the Construction Manager. - Serve as primary interface for client status updates, change orders, billing, and deliverables. - Participate in kickoff, progress, and close‑out meetings; document lessons learned. - Prepare weekly financial reviews, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions. - Compile and submit SOV forms, punch list items, and invoice documentation. - Liaise with subcontractors to ensure scope compliance and timely completion. - Assist in evaluating bids, updating cost buckets, and refining future project estimates. **Required Skills:** - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint) or willingness to learn. - Basic understanding of construction planning, budgeting, and safety requirements. - Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies. - Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in or graduated from a bachelor’s program in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. - Knowledge of solar/renewable energy project concepts is advantageous. - OSHA 10/30 (or equivalent safety) certification preferred but not mandatory.
