Auto Electric Service Ltd. is Southern Saskatchewan’s largest locally owned and operated automotive parts warehouse. We began doing business in Regina in 1943 and have remained a local owner operated business. The experience we have gained in each of our almost 80 years of business will assist us in continuing to provide our customers with the very best customer service in the province. We service the automotive retail and wholesale markets, as well as the autobody, agriculture and industrial markets with stores in five Saskatchewan locations. In 1948 our first branch was established in Yorkton; followed by Estevan, established in 1957; and Weyburn, established in 1962. In 1975 Mainline Fleet Service was established in Regina to service our fleet and industrial markets. Driven to enhance the success and safety of our retail, automotive and light industrial clients in Southern Saskatchewan, Auto Electric Servuce Ltd. has the knowledgeable staff, quality products, and value added services you need. We are a member of Auto Value, an auto parts buying group, which is one of the largest automotive parts distribution associations in North America. Auto Value traces its roots back to the earliest days of program groups in the automotive aftermarket, founded in 1976. To strengthen our ability to serve industrial markets in 2019 we joined the Industrial & Safety Division of AD. AD is a member-owned organization, passionate about bringing growth-oriented independent distributors and best-in-class supplier partners together with the purpose to outperform the market and to stay ahead of the competition. Job Description
Job Title: Logistics Manager Role Summary: Lead the strategy and operations of a multi‑location automotive parts distribution network, designing scalable logistics processes, optimizing freight and warehouse functions, and driving continuous improvement to support rapid revenue growth. Expectations: - Deliver measurable cost, service, and capacity improvements in alignment with corporate growth targets. - Build and mentor a high‑performing logistics team. - Drive cross‑functional collaboration to integrate supply‑chain technology and maintain inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a logistics strategy that supports a 2.5‑fold expansion of revenue. - Design scalable distribution models, network plans, and freight‑routing systems across a central hub and six branches. - Manage fleet utilization, carrier relationships, and freight contracts; monitor KPI performance for transportation cost, on‑time delivery, and delivery error rates. - Oversight of warehouse operations: standardize processes, space utilization, safety, and productivity; implement and refine WMS/DiDMS integrations. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives using EOS and other methodologies; spearhead sustainability efforts in freight and warehouse operations. - Provide weekly reporting on delivery performance, cost metrics, and process improvement milestones. - Collaborate with Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations to align logistics performance with business objectives. Required Skills: - Strategic vision and execution in logistics planning and network design. - Expertise in freight optimization, route planning, and carrier management. - Proven record in warehouse management, WMS/TMS implementation, and ERP integration. - Strong analytical capability to develop and track KPIs such as freight cost per item, on‑time delivery rate, inventory accuracy, and warehouse productivity. - Leadership of diverse teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. - Proficiency with sustainability metrics and fuel‑efficiency initiatives. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline. - 8+ years of progressive logistics, warehousing, or distribution leadership experience, preferably in automotive parts or aftermarket. - Professional designation (e.g., CITT, P.Log., APICS/CPIM/CSCP) is an asset.
