Job Title: Logistics Manager
Role Summary:
Lead the strategy and operations of a multi‑location automotive parts distribution network, designing scalable logistics processes, optimizing freight and warehouse functions, and driving continuous improvement to support rapid revenue growth.
Expectations:
- Deliver measurable cost, service, and capacity improvements in alignment with corporate growth targets.
- Build and mentor a high‑performing logistics team.
- Drive cross‑functional collaboration to integrate supply‑chain technology and maintain inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a logistics strategy that supports a 2.5‑fold expansion of revenue.
- Design scalable distribution models, network plans, and freight‑routing systems across a central hub and six branches.
- Manage fleet utilization, carrier relationships, and freight contracts; monitor KPI performance for transportation cost, on‑time delivery, and delivery error rates.
- Oversight of warehouse operations: standardize processes, space utilization, safety, and productivity; implement and refine WMS/DiDMS integrations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using EOS and other methodologies; spearhead sustainability efforts in freight and warehouse operations.
- Provide weekly reporting on delivery performance, cost metrics, and process improvement milestones.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, IT, and Operations to align logistics performance with business objectives.
Required Skills:
- Strategic vision and execution in logistics planning and network design.
- Expertise in freight optimization, route planning, and carrier management.
- Proven record in warehouse management, WMS/TMS implementation, and ERP integration.
- Strong analytical capability to develop and track KPIs such as freight cost per item, on‑time delivery rate, inventory accuracy, and warehouse productivity.
- Leadership of diverse teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with sustainability metrics and fuel‑efficiency initiatives.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of progressive logistics, warehousing, or distribution leadership experience, preferably in automotive parts or aftermarket.
- Professional designation (e.g., CITT, P.Log., APICS/CPIM/CSCP) is an asset.
