Job Title: QA Engineer Role Summary: Lead quality advocacy across product squads, defining testing strategy, coaching teams, and ensuring robust releases in a fast‑paced, user‑centric VoIP platform. Expectations: Deliver data‑driven quality insights, maintain high test coverage, drive continuous improvement, and balance speed with reliability while collaborating cross‑functionally. Key Responsibilities: - Champion quality throughout the development lifecycle, embedding standards early with Design, Product, and Engineering. - Define and document test strategies and plans covering happy paths and edge cases. - Conduct exploratory testing, integration sessions, and triage customer issues to surface risks and trends. - Coach squads to adopt and improve their own testing practices, enabling dev‑owned testing. - Collaborate with Automation Engineers to build tooling and infrastructure that empower automated test coverage. - Provide actionable, data‑driven quality reports and risk analyses to stakeholders. - Engage in cross‑browser and mobile device testing and utilize tools such as Playwright, Chrome DevTools, or API testing suites. Required Skills: - 3+ years QA engineering in a rapid‑iteration product environment. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities. - Proficient in exploratory testing, test planning, and risk assessment. - Experience with automation frameworks (Playwright or equivalent) and API testing. - Knowledge of cross‑browser and mobile testing, Chrome DevTools. - Comfortable facilitating discussions, influencing without authority, and coaching on testing best practices. - Self‑motivated, deadline‑driven, and able to balance speed with quality. - Curiosity for new technologies and willingness to leverage AI for testing and quality. - Familiarity with a programming language or computer science fundamentals. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
