**Job Title:** Internship - Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Refine maritime voyage databases using AIS data and machine learning to detect errors. Analyze data to extract statistics on transport volumes, navigation trends (weather vs. cargo status), operational events, and develop predictive port-voyage graphs. Collaborate with the Commercial Direction to provide actionable insights. **Expectations:** - Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics with a focus on Data Science/Data Analytics. - Proficiency in data analysis, visualization (e.g., SQL, Python libraries), API queries, and signal processing. - Strong Python programming skills. - Familiarity with maritime industry concepts is advantageous. - Analytical problem-solving, independence, and innovative solution-building. **Key Responsibilities:** - Clean and refine voyage databases using AIS data and ML techniques. - Generate statistical insights on transport volumes, navigation patterns, and special operations (e.g., maintenance, delays). - Build predictive models for port-voyage trends and automate operational event detection. - Develop data pipelines and collaborate with stakeholders for decision-support analysis. **Required Skills:** - Data analysis (SQL, Python, APIs). - Machine learning and signal processing. - Data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics. - Specialization in Data Science preferred.
