Job Title: VP Technology and Security
Role Summary:
Senior executive charged with strategic leadership of the organization’s technology infrastructure and information security program. Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all IT systems, guiding architecture, vendor relationships, and cross‑functional technology teams to continuously improve performance and security posture.
Expectations:
- Align technology strategy with business objectives and emerging industry trends.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulatory and security standards.
- Drive operational excellence, cost efficiencies, and user satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing IT and security staff.
- Report progress and recommendations to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and communicate enterprise IT and security strategy.
- Oversee all technology, project management, and security functions.
- Manage and evaluate staff performance; support professional growth.
- Prepare detailed presentations, system designs, pricing analyses, and project plans for operations and capital projects.
- Conduct capacity planning, system evaluations, and performance recommendations.
- Maintain and support existing enterprise systems, including after‑hours maintenance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and scope of work.
- Research, assess, and implement new technologies, hardware, and software to enhance service delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts.
- Assist with strategic planning, budgeting, and financial oversight.
- Ensure timely triage and prioritization of incidents and requests.
Required Skills:
- Executive IT leadership and strategic planning.
- Deep knowledge of information security architecture, SDLC, network/app security, and configuration management.
- Expertise in project management, vendor management, and performance evaluation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Self‑motivated, initiative‑driven, and capable of cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage complex, enterprise‑scale technology initiatives.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive IT, clinical, and business operations experience.
- Healthcare industry experience required.
- Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Visio).
- Willingness to travel between locations.
