Job Description

**Job title** International Energy Projects Engineer **Role Summary** Under the guidance of the International Energy Director, the engineer will manage operational and project functions for assigned international energy projects. Responsibilities include coordinating technical aspects, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving business development for global engagements. **Expectations** - Handle all operational and project management duties for assigned international energy projects. - Lead coordination between clients, multidisciplinary teams, and internal disciplines. - Maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards. - Develop and sustain client relationships and contribute to the growth of the Energy division. **Key Responsibilities** - **Operations Management**: Analyze & approve tenders, submit bids, prepare service offers, attend coordination meetings, and communicate project aims consistently. - **Project Management**: - Serve as liaison between clients and the company. - Lead project teams, communicating technical, budgetary, and schedule information. - Ensure interdisciplinary coordination and implement efficiency improvements. - Oversee technical and administrative coordination with discipline leads and clients. - Manage project financials, including budget control, invoicing, cash flow, and profit monitoring. - Track ongoing work, receivables, and project status. - Guarantee client satisfaction through deliverables, budgets, and timelines. - Execute quality control processes per the quality system. - **Business Development**: - Act as technical expert and developer in the Energy sector. - Build & maintain international client contacts to foster loyalty. - Represent the company at industry events and in business meetings. - Support strategic planning and development initiatives. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and complex problem‑solving abilities. - Risk management expertise aligned with organizational policies. - Excellent verbal and written French communication. - Basic proficiency in English (written and spoken). - Collaborative leadership and interdisciplinary coordination. - Budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or equivalent engineering discipline. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within an engineering‑consulting firm. - Experience in electric energy production/transmission projects (hydro, wind, solar, etc.) at the international level. - Current, active membership in the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ). - Professional engineering license required in at least one engineering discipline relevant to the role.
