**Job Title**
ServiceNow Developer
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications for federal government clients, covering core modules (GRC, ITSM, ITOM, HR, CSM, SPM/APM, PPM, EAM) and custom solutions. Lead skillful code development, workflow automation, UI customization, and integration using REST/SOAP within an Agile DevSecOps environment.
**Expactations**
- Deliver secure, high‑quality ServiceNow implementations that meet federal compliance standards.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Keep abreast of ServiceNow releases, recommend platform enhancements, and ensure performance optimization.
- Maintain and troubleshoot integrations with external systems.
- Pass a USPS background check; occasional CONUS travel permissible.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Configure and customize core ServiceNow modules (GRC, ITSM, ITOM, HR, CSM, SPM/APM, PPM, EAM).
- Design, code, and deploy custom applications, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, and Glide scripting.
- Build and manage workflows with Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and Business Rules.
- Perform unit testing, support user acceptance testing, and ensure code quality.
- Create technical documentation: design docs, architecture diagrams, user guides.
- Provide ongoing support, resolve issues, apply upgrades, and monitor system performance.
- Lead Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives.
- Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, pre‑built spokes.
- Enforce security policies and best practices throughout development and data handling.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years of experience delivering ServiceNow solutions in a development, implementation, and deployment capacity.
- Proficiency with ServiceNow platform capabilities, Business Rules, and scripting.
- Strong understanding of Agile DevSecOps methodologies.
- Experience with integration technologies (REST, SOAP).
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, finance, economics, operations research, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- ITIL certification (desired).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain a USPS background check; travel within CONUS possible.
