Job Description

Job Title: Freelance Retool Developer Role Summary: Deliver end‑to‑end system integrations and real‑time dashboards using Retool, APIs, SQL, and webhooks to streamline data flow across CRM, finance, and LMS platforms. Provide ad hoc support and continuous optimization for scalable, data‑centric solutions. Expectations: Complete a foundational integration project within agreed timelines, maintain high data integrity, respond to support requests, document all solutions, and deliver scalable automation tools for ongoing business use. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy Retool dashboards that consolidate live data from multiple source systems. - Connect Retool to CRM, finance, and LMS applications via APIs, SQL queries, and webhooks. - Map, automate, and validate data pipelines to ensure accuracy and efficiency across departments. - Optimize Retool queries, data models, and UI components for performance and scalability. - Build internal automation tools (e.g., data syncs, workflow triggers) to reduce manual reporting. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to capture data requirements and translate them into actionable dashboards. - Document integration architecture, workflows, and technical configurations for maintenance and future onboarding. - Provide troubleshooting and technical support for data connectivity issues in a timely manner. Required Skills: - 3+ years of hands‑on Retool development experience. - Proven track record of integrating multiple enterprise systems and building real‑time dashboards. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and API/webhook integrations. - Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. - Ability to design secure, scalable data integrations and automate internal processes. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and independent working skills. - Availability for flexible, ad hoc work (10–30 hrs/week). Desirable: Experience with HubSpot, Xero, eLearning platforms, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker), and automation platforms. Required Education & Certifications: None specified; relevant technical experience considered sufficient.
