Job Description
Job Title: Graphic Design Intern Role Summary: Part‑time, FLSA‑classified intern supporting the creative team in producing visual assets for digital, print, and on‑air projects. Works closely with marketing, communications, and editorial teams to create consistent brand imagery. Expectations: • Current student in an accredited design or related program, or graduate within 12 months of the internship start. • Demonstrated portfolio of graphic design work. • Ability to take creative direction, manage time, and deliver assets across multiple platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Create and edit digital and print graphics for marketing, social media, events, and editorial content. - Design visual assets for websites, newsletters, and promotional materials. - Collaborate with creative and communications teams to develop engaging visuals. - Support branding initiatives and maintain brand consistency. - Optimize graphics for various formats and platforms. - Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and organizational tasks. - Maintain organized design files and asset libraries. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). - Experience with Canva and basic design principles (typography, color, layout). - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. - Ability to accept and apply feedback. - Portfolio showcasing graphic design projects. Bonus: Photography or video editing experience; interest in public media storytelling; familiarity with Figma. Required Education & Certifications: - Enrollment in an accredited degree program (graphic design, visual communications, or related field) or recent graduation within 12 months.
