Job Description

Job title: Quality Assurance Tester Role Summary: Conducts manual and automated testing for Georgia SHINES to ensure software meets functional, performance, and security standards. Creates test documentation, identifies defects, and collaborates with development and stakeholder teams to resolve issues. Expectations: - Deliver high‑quality test artifacts and defect reports in a timely manner. - Participate actively in virtual team meetings and agile ceremonies. - Provide clear, concise communication of test results and recommendations. Key Responsibilities: - Design, review, and maintain test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices. - Execute functional, regression, integration, and system tests using manual techniques and tools such as Selenium or Leapwork. - Log and track defects in issue tracking systems (e.g., ServiceNow). - Analyze test results, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend process improvements. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers during sprint planning, estimation, and review. - Perform gap analysis and documentation reviews to ensure completeness of specifications. Required Skills: - 5+ years of QA testing and change management experience. - 3+ years in cross‑platform IT development environment. - Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum). - Proficiency with automated test tools (Selenium, Leapwork). - Basic SQL knowledge and ability to interpret test data. - Experience with test management and tracking tools (e.g., ServiceNow). - Ability to document and troubleshoot errors; excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong process & gap analysis, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent). - No mandatory certifications required; industry certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) considered a plus.
