Job Description
Job Title: Sage Implementation Manager (Contract 1099) Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end Sage Intacct implementation for a construction-focused client. Manage assessment, design, data migration, testing, integration, training, and documentation to deliver a fully configured, accurate, and integrated accounting platform. Expectations: - Deliver a fully functional Sage Intacct implementation within agreed milestones. - Ensure data integrity, accurate reporting, and seamless integration with Salesforce, InEight, and payroll systems. - Provide user training and post‑implementation support to achieve operational adoption. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment covering chart of accounts, job costing, WIP, retainage, billing, payments, and custom reporting; document workflows and develop a project plan. - Identify and configure relevant module(s) based on assessed requirements and define integration specifications with Salesforce, InEight, and payroll. - Oversee historical data migration, validate data quality, and set up multi‑entity structures and processes. - Design and execute test scenarios for job billing, AP workflows, subcontractor tracking, PO processing, banking feeds, and custom reports; resolve defects. - Develop custom reports (e.g., contract matrix, WIP, joint project, subcontractor payment flow) to replace manual spreadsheets. - Deliver end‑user training for accounting staff and project managers; create comprehensive documentation of all customizations and core workflows. - Liaise with accounting, project management, and technical teams to communicate progress, manage deadlines, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Required Skills: - 5+ years of Sage Intacct implementation experience, preferably within construction accounting. - Deep knowledge of construction accounting concepts: WIP, retainage, subcontractor billing, AIA billing, project billing, and profitability analysis. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a detail‑oriented mindset. - Experience coordinating data migration, validation, and integration testing. - Proven project management skills, including milestone planning, deadline adherence, and stakeholder communication. - Proficiency in documenting processes, designing reports, and delivering user training. - Ability to work independently as an independent contractor with minimal supervision. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). - Sage Intacct Implementation Certification or equivalent construction accounting certification (preferred).
