**Job Title**
Software Engineer – Python/Java/C++, Linux, Kubernetes (TS/SCI Full Scope Poly)
**Role Summary**
Develop, test, and maintain mission‑critical software in a secure, classified environment. Deliver high‑quality code in Python, Java or C++ on Linux platforms, leveraging container orchestration with Kubernetes to meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
**Expectations**
- Perform in a TS/SCI Full Scope Poly environment, adhering to strict security protocols.
- Apply strong problem‑solving and analytical skills to debug complex systems.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with architects, testers, and operations teams.
- Maintain code quality, documentation, and compliance with internal standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, code, test, and deploy applications using Python, Java, or C++ on Linux.
2. Build and manage containerized services in Kubernetes (Docker/K8s) for consistent deployment.
3. Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and performance profiling.
4. Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize applications in production.
5. Contribute to design documents, architecture decisions, and best‑practice guidelines.
6. Ensure all work complies with classification and security policies.
**Required Skills**
- Proficient in Python, Java, or C++ development.
- Deep understanding of Linux operating systems (kernel, shell, networking).
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Strong debugging, profiling, and performance tuning skills.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Effective communication and teamwork in a secure environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Valid TS/SCI full scope polygraph clearance (current, issued by the NSA).
- (Optional) Certifications in Linux (RHCE, LPIC) or Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD) are an advantage.
