Job Description
Job title: Full Stack Software Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and ship end‑to‑end features for a commercial real estate insurance platform. Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to solve high‑impact technical problems and continuously improve system reliability and performance. Expactations: - Own code quality, reliability, and maintainability across the stack. - Engage in code reviews, planning, and cross‑functional discussions. - Show initiative in learning new tools and adopting best practices. - Communicate effectively with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Write clean, maintainable TypeScript/JavaScript code for frontend (React) and backend (Node.js, Express). - Develop and expose RESTful APIs, working with relational databases and AWS services. - Participate in full‑cycle delivery: planning, implementation, testing, and deployment. - Debug production issues, improve performance, and enforce reliability standards. - Contribute to DevOps practices, monitoring, and blue‑green deployments. - Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge in team meetings. Required Skills: - 2+ years of full‑stack development experience, shipping production applications. - Proficiency in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, Express, REST APIs. - Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), Git, and AWS. - Ability to learn and integrate modern tooling (Linear, Cursor, AI‑powered dev tools). - Strong communication and collaboration mindset. - Optional: DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience (bootcamp, coding program, or self‑directed projects). - No mandatory certifications required.
