Functional Consultant / Manager – Procurement Technology
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end procurement transformation engagements, driving strategy, design, and delivery of source‑to‑pay solutions across the organization. Serve as the primary technical advisor, architecting solutions that align with client business, technology, and regulatory requirements while ensuring high‑quality outcomes and commercial success.
**Expectations**
- Deliver successful procurement technology programs that meet scope, schedule, and budget.
- Expand and mature the procurement technology practice, staying current with market trends and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, orchestration).
- Support sales activities by providing technical expertise in proposals, bids, and client engagements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including C‑suite executives, to translate business needs into technical solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and validate whole‑stack procurement solution architectures, incorporating application, data, and technical domains.
- Define baseline and target states, develop migration roadmaps, and recommend optimal technology paths.
- Lead workshops, demos, and design sessions; document outcomes and collaborate with lead architect(s).
- Provide functional oversight for implementation phases, ensuring alignment with client requirements and governance standards.
- Advise on infrastructure and provisioning strategies to support procurement technology deployments.
- Monitor delivery metrics, driving continuous improvement and best practice adoption.
- Contribute to practice development by researching new technologies, publishing insights, and delivering internal training.
- Partner with sales teams to craft compelling solutions, participating in RFP responses and client presentations.
**Required Skills**
- Extensive experience implementing source‑to‑pay systems (Coupa, Ivalua, Oracle, GEP, ZIP, ORO, ServiceNow, Agresso, etc.).
- Strong procurement architecture and design capabilities, including end‑to‑end solution modeling.
- Proven ability to conduct workshops, facilitate stakeholder alignment, and produce technical documentation.
- Commercial acumen: ability to manage the financial implications of technology decisions and contribute to bid proposals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of engaging executives and technical teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement.
- Knowledge of emerging procurement technologies (AI, automation, orchestration) and ability to assess their impact.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, CIPS).
- Certification or proven expertise in at least one leading source‑to‑pay platform (e.g., Certified Coupa Professional, Ivalua Accredited Consultant, Oracle Procurement Cloud Expert).
