Job Description
Job title: Regional Utilities Scheduler (12 Month Fixed Term) Role Summary: Plan, schedule, and coordinate developer utility requests to meet service guidelines and customer expectations, ensuring timely delivery of construction work packs and maintaining a safe working environment. Expectations: Provide consistently excellent customer service via telephone and email, adhere to service‑level agreements, keep scheduling accurate, and support engineers by ensuring required materials are ready before work starts. Key Responsibilities: • Receive and log customer telephone inquiries promptly. • Enter customer utility requests (up to specified mains diameter) into the internal booking system. • Schedule utility work efficiently within the live engineering program. • Coordinate with engineers daily to confirm locations and material readiness. • Respond to developer and project manager emails within SLA timelines. • Ensure all work requirements are completed as expected. • Promote a safe and healthy working environment. • Perform any other duties as directed by the line manager. Required Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication; numerate. • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook (email, calendar). • Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities. • Resilient, adaptable to changing schedules. • Strong customer‑service orientation. Required Education & Certifications: • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. • Demonstrated logistical experience and prior customer‑service role. Desirable: • Current CSCS card. • Understanding of the utility industry. • Good geographical knowledge of the UK. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
