Job Description: **Job title:** Senior Backend Developer with Entrepreneurial Spirit **Role Summary:** Lead the design, development, and delivery of high‑performance backend services for a growing LegalTech SaaS portfolio. Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and frontend engineers to translate regulatory feature requirements into robust, scalable code. Drive technical strategy, code quality, and team maturity while helping transition the company from a service‑to‑product focus. **Expectations:** - Contribute to the strategic product roadmap and architectural direction. - Champion best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, and documentation. - Act as a technical mentor and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team. - Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and adjust priorities in an agile environment. - Demonstrate continuous learning and adaptability to evolving regulatory and technology landscapes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain backend APIs using Python (FastAPI/Flask) and Java. - Build and optimize relational databases (SQL) for performance and reliability. - Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate RESTful or gRPC services. - Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; maintain comprehensive test coverage. - Manage source code with Git, participate in code reviews, and enforce coding standards. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives. - Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. - Support deployment pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools). - Engage in product strategy discussions and provide technical feasibility assessments. **Required Skills:** - 5+ years of professional backend development experience. - Proficient in Python (FastAPI, Flask) and Java; solid understanding of object‑oriented design. - Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent). - Strong command of Git and modern version‑control workflows. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). - Demonstrated leadership or team‑lead experience. - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. - Availability during core CET business hours. - Quick learner, self‑motivated, and collaborative team player. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Scrum Master) are a plus but not mandatory.
