Job Description

**Job Title:** ETL Developer **Role Summary:** Contract-based ETL Developer focused on Snowflake, DBT Cloud, and Fivetran. Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining ELT pipelines, optimizing data models using star schema and medallion architecture, and ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and scalability across analytics platforms. **Expactations:** * Remote corp‑to‑corp role; candidate must reside in California or Chicago. * Collaborate closely with business analysts, data scientists, and cross‑functional teams. * Communicate requirements and project status to stakeholders clearly and timely. * Deliver high‑quality, documented data solutions within agreed timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and maintain ELT pipelines using DBT Cloud, Snowflake, and Fivetran. * Implement and optimize data models aligned with star schema and medallion architecture best practices. * Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting and analytics platforms. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL processes for scalability and performance. * Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and data engineering best practices. **Required Skills:** * 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer. * Hands‑on expertise with Snowflake, DBT Cloud, and Fivetran. * Strong SQL proficiency and experience working with large datasets. * Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, star schema modeling, and Snowflake medallion architecture. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). * Relevant certifications (e.g., Snowflake SnowPro, DBT certified, Fivetran practitioner) are advantageous but not mandatory.
