Job Description
**Job Title** Senior National and Key Account Sales Consultant **Role Summary** Lead sales and account management for Association Health Plans (AHP), National and Key Accounts. Coordinate enrollment, servicing, retention, reporting, and communication between the organization, Blue Cross Blue Shield Associations, and third‑party administrators. Provide consultative sales support, educational services, and backup for inter‑plan program sales. **Expectations** - Deliver on‑site sales and education activities throughout the state. - Prepare renewal, quarterly, and annual reports; ensure timely submission. - Maintain client confidentiality and comply with corporate compliance programs. - Ensure seamless enrollment and claim resolution for National and Key Accounts. - Assist in developing marketing strategies and product positioning. - Provide backup support for inter‑plan programs and inter‑plan sales contacts. **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct employee meetings and enrollment sessions for Association Health Plans. - Prepare invitation and communication materials, including Field Communication Summaries and renewal packages. - Oversee preparation and submission of AHP reports and related documentation. - Coordinate communication between the organization, Blue Cross Blue Shield Associations, and third‑party administrators. - Serve as backup Inter‑Plan Programs Sales contact; ensure BlueCard, Inter‑Plan, and other external sales compliance. - Resolve claim issues involving other Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans for National Accounts. - Coordinate benefits installation and administrative procedures for associated plans. - Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from Association Health Plans. - Manage enrollment of new AHP groups with internal operations and field staff. - Provide employee benefit consultative services to prospective and existing clients. - Develop strategies to overcome competition and support marketing plans for new product offerings. - Contribute to plan‑wide objectives, methods, and special projects. **Required Skills** - Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. - Ability to explain complex concepts and build financial business cases. - Proven client‑relationship management and negotiation skills. - Knowledge of BlueCard, Inter‑Plan Programs, and AHP operations. - Familiarity with enrollment, claim resolution, and regulatory compliance in health insurance. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to corporate compliance requirements. - Independent, proactive, and able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Insurance, or related field. - Professional certification preferred (e.g., Certified Insurance Sales Professional (CIS), Health Plan Sales Professional (HPSP), or equivalent).
