Job Description
Job title: Business Intelligence Intern Role Summary An entry‑level analytics role focused on extracting, cleansing, and modeling data to support strategic decision‑making across business units such as finance, underwriting, marketing, and customer experience. The internship combines data analysis, predictive modeling, and visual storytelling to provide actionable insights and drive business outcomes. Expactations - Self‑motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Effective oral and written communication across all organizational levels. - Excellent time‑management and follow‑through on deliverables. - High attendance and reliability. - Willingness to collaborate cross‑functionally and present findings to leadership. Key Responsibilities - Consult with stakeholders to define analytics requirements and translate business needs into data solutions. - Acquire, clean, and validate data from internal and external sources. - Analyze historical data for trends, patterns, and insights using statistical methods. - Build and maintain predictive models for scenario forecasting. - Design and update interactive dashboards and reports in BI tools. - Document analytical processes, create modular code, and produce technical documentation. - Present project outcomes in a final presentation to senior management. - Support ad‑hoc special projects and contribute to continuous improvement of BI systems. Required Skills - Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented programming language (Python preferred). - SQL querying experience (preferred). - Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. - Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Comfortable learning and adapting to new software applications. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Education & Certifications - Current undergraduate student enrolled at least one year toward a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in mathematics, computer science, data science, finance, management information systems, or a related field. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. - No specific certifications required.
