Expectations: * Act as liaison between students, schools, and employers to secure and manage internship opportunities. * Deliver individualized and group career development sessions, including resume building, interview skills, and job application coaching. * Monitor student progress, collect employer feedback, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce or equivalent systems. Key Responsibilities: 1. Outreach to potential internship providers and employers; secure full‑time, part‑time, and summer opportunities. 2. Create and manage internship placement inventory aligned with student interests and local opportunities. 3. Match students to placements; conduct one‑on‑one coaching, mid‑year, and end‑year evaluations. 4. Oversee student placement at internship sites; obtain and document employer feedback. 5. Develop and facilitate weekly seminar groups for students in internships. 6. Select and use tools for assessing work readiness and skill development. 7. Handle administrative tasks: onboarding into payroll, timesheet management, and record‑keeping. 8. Coordinate with student advocates to align vocational support with academic, social‑emotional, and graduation goals. 9. Collaborate with post‑secondary staff on career readiness curriculum (resume writing, interviewing, job applications). 10. Attend division meetings and ensure timely completion of documentation, statistics, and DOE reporting. Required Skills: * Experience working with adolescents in employment or vocational settings (individual and group). * Strong organizational, teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or similar data systems. * Ability to travel to multiple program sites; willingness to work weekends and overnight when necessary. * Commitment to a strengths‑based, youth‑development approach. Job Description
**Job Title:** MSW Intern **Role Summary:** MSW Intern will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed clinical and therapeutic services to residents of a transitional housing program for young adults. Responsibilities include individual, group, and family counseling, psychoeducational facilitation, case coordination, and active participation in the Sanctuary Model framework to promote a non‑violent, trauma‑sensitive environment. **Expectations:** - Works 15–17 hours per week (unpaid internship). - Reports directly to the Program Director. - Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary team members and participates in all scheduled team meetings and case reviews. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence‑based models. - Facilitate psychoeducational groups on a broad range of topics relevant to residents. - Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, service plan reviews, interdisciplinary conferences, roundtable discussions, and “Seeking Out Solutions” meetings. - Coordinate self‑sufficiency and wrap‑around services with community partners. - Document all case information accurately in Salesforce within required deadlines. - Apply Sanctuary Model tools (safety plans, community meetings, red‑flag reviews, treatment planning conferences, self‑care activities). - Promote the seven Sanctuary Model commitments and foster a safe, trauma‑knowledgeable culture. - Perform additional duties as needed to support program operations. **Required Skills:** - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to conduct therapeutic interventions in individual, group, and family settings. - Experience or training in trauma‑informed care and the Sanctuary Model. - Proficiency in using electronic health records (e.g., Salesforce). - Team collaboration, flexibility, and problem‑solving abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a current Master of Social Work (MSW) program enrollment or recently graduated MSW. - Basic clinical counseling training or experience. - Certification or coursework in trauma‑informed care (preferred but not mandatory).
