Job Description

**Job Title** Decision Scientist **Role Summary** Design and implement machine‑learning algorithms to transform retail and CPG data into actionable insights that improve inventory, execution, and profitability. Collaborate with internal R&D and international clients to develop, test, and deploy data‑driven products, ensuring high‑quality, well‑documented code and clear communication of results. **Expactations** - Deliver timely, deliverable‑focused projects that meet or exceed defined success criteria. - Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, paying close attention to detail and data integrity. - Present findings and technical solutions to cross‑functional teams in both technical and non‑technical language. **Key Responsibilities** - Design algorithms using advanced statistical and machine‑learning techniques. - Define quantitative project metrics and success criteria for R&D and client engagements. - Build, validate, and deploy models, contributing to product design, implementation, and testing. - Write clean, well‑documented code (Python, R, etc.) and maintain reproducibility. - Communicate progress, challenges, and results to stakeholders at all levels. - Identify opportunities for process and model improvements. **Required Skills** - Strong programming in Python or R. - Proficiency in machine‑learning frameworks and statistical modeling. - Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure. - Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Pragmatic approach to deliverables and deadline management. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related STEM field. - Certifications in machine‑learning or cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate) are a plus.
