Job title: BI Architect
Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the organization’s Business Intelligence environment. Collect, integrate, analyze, and deliver actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision‑making. Operate cross‑functionally with users, data engineering, and infrastructure teams within a project‑driven framework.
Expectations:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BI administration or architecture (not purely analytical or reporting).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize user requirements, deliver functional specifications, and validate solutions.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and autonomous work style.
- Superior communication skills and a pedagogical approach to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, build, and sustain the BI architecture, including data flows, data warehouse, and ETL processes.
- Collect, transform, and integrate data from ERP, CRM, flat files, and other sources, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Draft functional specifications, technical design documents, and use‑case analyses.
- Participate in testing, validation, and release activities for new BI features and releases.
- Administer BI platforms: manage user access, data security, licensing, and performance tuning.
- Develop data models, report templates, and dashboards tailored to business needs in collaboration with sales and operations teams.
- Provide training and support to technical and business users.
- Monitor BI solution performance and continuously seek optimization opportunities.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Power Pivot) and ETL integration tools (Talend, Informatica, or similar).
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational database administration and data modeling.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets to uncover actionable insights.
- Project management methodology (Agile or Waterfall) and user story creation.
- Effective oral and written communication, stakeholder management, and teaching skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s (Bac+3) to Master’s (Bac+5) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or equivalent ETL certification) preferred but not mandatory.
