Job Title: Account Executive
Role Summary:
Serve as the primary client liaison in the contract furniture sales cycle, coordinating proposals, pricing, order execution, site measurements, and installation oversight. Drive end-to-end project delivery while collaborating with design, CAD, suppliers, and installers to ensure on‑time, on‑budget, and quality execution that meets customer specifications and satisfaction.
Expectations:
- 2–3 years of sales and/or installation experience in the furniture or contract furnishings sector.
- Demonstrated success in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment with strong problem‑solving and relationship‑management skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of the contract furniture market and active relationships with open‑line manufacturers (preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, prioritizing competing deadlines and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as single point of contact for all client communication, showroom visits, proposals, and order placement.
- Coordinate resources, obtain lead times, negotiate discounts, and prepare accurate quotes with design specifications.
- Perform site measurements, review and produce CAD drawings, and oversee installation and reconfiguration schedule.
- Manage project timelines, order accuracy, installation quality, and deficiency resolution to client satisfaction.
- Provide user instructions for installed products and create progression/deficiency reports during final walkthroughs.
- Participate in sales, design, and client meetings; contribute to RFP responses and client strategy development.
- Proactively solicit new business and expand client base through personal network and market outreach.
Required Skills:
- Sales negotiation and closing expertise.
- Project management, multitasking, and prioritization.
- Spatial visualization and ability to communicate layout concepts to clients and designers.
- Proficiency in CAD review or creation and familiarity with installation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder coordination, and relationship maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills for pricing, proposal development, and deficiency resolution.
Required Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred (not mandatory).
- Industry certifications (e.g., CPx, project management, or supplier specific credentials) optional but advantageous.
