Job Description
**Job Title** Director of Business Development **Role Summary** Lead strategic growth for a security solutions organization across Alberta, driving pipeline development, proposal execution, and long‑term client relationships while guiding sales operations and mentoring a high‑performance team. **Expectations** - Build a robust, high‑quality opportunity pipeline aligned with company strengths. - Close multi‑stage deals and negotiate contracts that meet revenue and retention targets. - Deliver accurate forecasts, KPI tracking, and quarterly growth plans. - Represent the organization at industry events and foster strategic partnerships. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and implement business development strategy across property security, construction, post‑secondary, commercial, and mobile patrol markets. - Oversee proposal development, RFP responses, presentations, pricing, and contract negotiations. - Cultivate multi‑year relationships with key clients, executives, and industry influencers. - Collaborate with Operations to design scalable, consistent service models. - Mentor and support the hiring, coaching, and development of future BD team members. - Represent the organization at industry events, panels, and community engagements. - Travel within Alberta for client visits and business development opportunities. - Provide strategic insights, forecasting, and KPI reports to senior leadership. **Required Skills** - Strategic thinking and consultative selling approach. - Proven ability to build trust, listen actively, and follow through. - Strong negotiation, presentation, and proposal writing skills. - Experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets. - Ability to read stakeholder needs, ask critical questions, and provide practical solutions. - High integrity, accuracy, and professionalism in all interactions. - Strong organizational skills and resilience under tight timelines. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). - Sales or business development certification (e.g., Certified Inside Sales Professional, Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant) is a plus. ---
